The round will be called Canadian Bacon, with deference to that perennial TO Forum thread of the same name. The winner of C-rank will get to give a titular name to round 80... and so on.
After more than two years of effort, pestering and negotiation, we can finally expect to have full control of the codebase by the end of the week. The move began yesterday. The end of the week is faster than a ship from Umea to Anchorage in TO terms.
No gameplay changes are planned for the forthcoming round — the game remains exactly as it is (forever) — though we should finally be able to remove the bogus top-site links and, with luck, get PayPal working again.
Long term, no changes are planned. The game’s already perfect as it is. And you can’t make cow into ham as Mr Zappa once said.
Or bacon.
